Born in the 70's, Sophie is a collector, table top and video gamer. She's always had a crafting bent, having sewn for cosplay and stage performances, made and wired electronic props for clients, and has leaned heavily into her ability to solder, repair and otherwise construct complex and electronic works. Lately she's been working with 3d printers, crafting things as complex as electric and acoustic violins, or as simple as table top tokens for RPGS.
She's been painting since the early 80's for tabletop gaming, and currently builds props, dioramas, and display pieces for sale, both in raw, unpainted forms, and finished display ready pieces. Boasting a long history of fandom, she is enthusiastic about most things Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
Sophie, when describing her skills:
“I'm a bookkeeper and computer tech by trade (along with a lot of retail), but what I do is 3d print things. Lots of things. Mostly tabletop gaming miniatures and terrain, but also display figurines, chess sets, fidget spinners, book nooks, cosplay props, and...... well. Truth is, almost anything can be 3d printed, at least in part.
I also wire electronics, with a specialization in LED and lighting - something I've been known to do for some of the above things. I -also- paint things, having started painting miniatures in 84ish (before there were even specialized paints to paint miniatures!). For a time I made stage combat lightsabers and weaponry, though I lack many of the tools to do so at the moment.
I also build dioramas, display cabinets, and storage cases.”
